Volume 2011, Number 2 (2011) Symposium: The Impact of Same-Sex Marriage on Education

Introduction

The articles in this symposium issue are drawn from the papers presented at the Symposium on the Impact of Same-Sex Marriage on Education: Implications for Schools, curriculum, Students, Their Families, and Educational Communities, held at Brigham Young University on October 29, 2010. the symposium gathered scholars, educators, medical professionals and policymakers from across the country—and as far away as South Africa—to address issues related to the same-sex marriage movement and its impact on education. Although we have edited these papers to conform with legal publishing standards, they come from a variety of disciplines and retain many of their original characteristics.

We would like to thank Professor Lynn Wardle for organizing the symposium.
