Abstract

Interlocutory appeal from a district court order that disqualified one of Defendant/Appellant Wade Maughan's defense attorneys in a capital murder prosecution in the First Judicial District Court, in and for Box Elder County, the Honorable Ben H. Hadfield. presiding. The order required Mr. Maughan to choose to keep one of his defense attorneys and to remove the other. The Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers ("UACDE"), files this brief in support of Mr. Maughan's challenge to the district court's order.
