Abstract
The parties argued this matter before Judges Orme, Thorne, and Jackson on April 12, 2005, in Moab, Utah. On April 15, 2005, the Utah Supreme Court issued State v. Markland, 2005 UT 26, which addresses reasonable suspicion. The State specifically cites the Court to paragraphs 16-26 of the opinion in support of its argument that reasonable suspicion existed to stop Mr. Yazzie. Pursuant to rule 24(1), Utah Rules of Appellate Procedure, the State requests that this letter and the attached decision be distributed to the Court as supplemental authority.
