Abstract

Dear Mr. Butler: Pursuant to the Utah Rules of Appellate Procedure, Rule 24(j), as counsel for the plaintiffs herein, I refer the Court to the enclosed case of Clymer v. Webster, 596 A.2d 905 (Vt. 1991), 905. This recently decided case pertains to the issue of a parent's right to recover loss of consortium damages as the result of death or injury to an adult child. The reason for referring the Court to this case is that it involves a wrongful death action wherein the Supreme Court of Vermont held that the parents of an adult child were permitted to recover damages for loss of companionship resulting from the death of their adult child. Very truly yours, LAW OFFICES OF IRWIN M. ZALKIN
